Jesse Allison is an associate professor in Experimental Music & Digital Media with the LSU School of Music. He received his DMA in Music Composition from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is co-founder of Electrotap LLC, an innovative firm developing tools for electronic art. His position at the CCT enables him to explore the evolving relationship between technology and music and pursue new avenues for artistic and sonic expression.

Professor Hirschheim is the Ourso Family Distinguished Professor of Information Systems in the E.J. Ourso College of Business, Louisiana State University. He has previously been on the faculties of the University of Houston, Templeton College - Oxford (UK), London School of Economics (UK) and McMaster University (Canada). He has held visiting appointments at Monash University (Australia), University of New South Wales (Australia) University of Bayreuth (Germany), University of Jyvaskyla (Finland), University of Warwick (UK), and University of Paris-Dauphine (France). He is on the editorial boards of the journals: Journal of the Association for Information Systems; Information and Organization; Information Systems Journal; Journal of Strategic Information Systems; Journal of MIS; and Journal of Information Technology. He was VP for Publications for the Association for Information Systems. In 2006, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Oulu (Finland). And in 2007, he was made “Fellow” of the Association for Information Systems.

Stephen David Beck is Director of the LSU School of Music and holds a joint appointment with CCT in the Cultural Computing focus area. He received his PhD in music composition and theory from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1988, and held a Fulbright Fellowship in 1985-86, where he was a researcher at the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique in Paris, France. Having joined the CCT in 2003, he served as Interim Director of the center from 2008-2010 and was director of the AVATAR Initiative 2007-2012. His current research includes sound diffusion systems, high-performance computing applications in music, music interaction with alternative interfaces, music software for laptops and mobile devices, and virtual music instruments, a system of interactive computer programs that extend and expand on the performance capabilities of acoustic instruments.
